The Way of notsaint James
Time for another trip, and once again our neighbors have asked for a running
account. So I will do it. As always, there are good things about such an
undertaking—helps with focus, memory, etc—and there are bad things, such as
feeding the selfie stick fixation and stuff like that. But the Winers have called, and I will answer. Just leave it at that.
I’m gonna go hike the Camino in Spain. Not for any high-minded reason,
or some crisis, but just because the idea occurred to me this winter when
I was walking around Victoria. Seemed like a good idea at the time, so one thing after another and I’m leaving in a couple of days. Nervous for sure, but hey, I’m into it now.
Like last time, I’m going to try to listen to people’s stories, and, with their
permission, reflect on them here. I’m perpetually curious about what people
make of the “big questions” of life, so hopefully I’ll be able to tune into that a bit. It can be dangerous territory for a number of reasons, but it can also be eye opening. Hopefully more the latter this time.
Speaking of that, we all live amongst interesting people all the time, if we pay
attention. You don’t have to go anywhere to meet them. They are your friends and neighbors you see every day, in our case the people in our condo building. The Winers. Lots of amazing stories right there without even leaving the building. We’re privileged to have them as neighbors. These stories are for them.
P.S. I’ll write this stuff and send it to Gail and she’ll post it. This is a test run to see if the system works.

So happy to follow along this semi-planned journey. Who said there was anything wrong with being spontaneous Jim. !!!!
It works!
Yay! So glad you’re listening to the winers and blogging your journey for us to live vicariously. I expect you’ll return with all the mysteries of life solved and share them with us over a glass of wine! Stay well!
